If you been hacked by Sarbot511, it is likely it will happen again because your network security appliances on your network is NOT up to par. I would highly recommend going with HostGator, because of their state of the art network security solutions. I made the switch after the Sarbot 511 and everything is back to normal.

See the image below of the screen capture of one of my web site when the hack happened. If you want to, you can click here and see the actual file used by the hacker. (I scan it, there is no virus but it contain very bad html codes)

About a month ago this web site was hacked for the first time by another spammer. You can read my post here. Now a few weeks later I got another hacked (Sarbot511) and all of my web sites in the server were affected. This time it had nothing to do with WordPress, but it was the lack of network security hardware and applications.

Currently I have 3 web hosting accounts from two different web hosting companies. Two of the three web host accounts were by hostgator. The third web hosting account was with a company called Infrenion Networks which got hacked by “Sarbot511″.

All of my index.html, index.asp. Index.php and other index formats in all folders and sub folders were replace by the hacker’s files at Infrenion Networks, but everything was fine with HostGator.

Luckily for me I backup all of my files and overwrite all the hacker’s files in a few hours. Also, the other good news is that the database were not affected, only the server side index files.

I am now closing my account with Infrenion Networks this month and opening my third hostgator account.

I highly recommend HostGator for better network security solutions. I been with them for 2 years and I wish I had been with them longer because it would have saved me a lot of time and headache.

The sad thing about this is, I don’t know why they hacked my websites and my server. If you see the page the hacker used, what is their reason for the hack? Please tell me.

I do not believe the hacker is ‘arabic’, but I do believe he has not a clue as to how much REAL damage his stupid game is capable of causing.

So far, the hack has affected two of my valued files, causing me an ill timed delay in providing care for a terminally ill wife. It really isn’t funny, dude; not funny at all.

I will heal my files and get on with my work while I still have a little grace time. Revenge? “Vengence is mine” says the Lord. It is not nice to spit in the face of the Living god.

The concurrent tragedy in a hacker’s pathetic game is that there are others on line being hacked who do not believe in letting God do His job; they feel compelled to ‘handle it themselves’ and you get another news bite of som popular teenager being found with a little black dot in the back of his head. It ends his game, but does little to resolve the infantile mind set common in hackers… and others.

  5. Rochelle says:

So if one finds their site hacked, what is the next step one should take? Is there anyway I can get my web site back to the way it was? I’m hosted through WordPress, and they have been absolutely zero help in the matter. How do I go about “fixing” this?

the only way is the backup file… if you have? otherwise search for files that is changed the same time and tell us what is that…

    • KeyFrame5 says:

Find your backup files (index files, index.html, index.php, index.asp, ect) and replace all of it. If you don’t have the backup copy, ask your web host provider if they backup your files before it got hacked. If your web host provider doesnt have it and you have it, then you are screwed.

It came from Saudi Arabia. From what I understand they first tried from Morroco but failed. Just so you all know, no one is 100% safe from these types of hackers. All they need is a vunerable site on a server and wa lah, they can get in. Mostly caused by programs like zencart, wordpress, joomla, etc… that are installed from fantastico or outside systems, that require constant updating. If these files are not updated, the are unsecure. Even godaddy’s host got hit.

Someone wondered why his site was hacked. This i snot personal, it i sdone automatic through some botnet that can find vulnerable security holes. I think the last arabian is about a thirdparty something to Joomla. Keep all your security updtates and check before using plugins, modules etc which ones has some security issues and all will be OK. Nobody been targeted or healed by anyones god in these cases ;)
