People are always asking us the questions, and we have no answers for them, as we have never even been given a contract to read over. I just hope they don't ask, because if I came in and said "hey you know this water heater I am installing for you is locking you in to a 5 to 15 year contract" I would be out of a job quick. We just refer them back to their sales person and cross our fingers.... At least once a day we get a cancellation, but sometimes don't find out until we have wasted the time to get to the job site and end up leaving because the customer is getting cold feet. I am always kind about it and say "no problem, have a good day" even though I really just lost out on anywhere from $20 - $50 for an install. I don't know if we are installing for these people 1 day after signing a contract or 10 days after??? What if they try and back out after the tank was installed but before the 10 days are up.
