The Cascading Style Sheets are made up of 2 parts, the selector and the declaration . Las hojas de estilo en cascada se componen de 2 partes, el selector y la declaración.

The selector comes first and it describes the element on the page that is going to be control through this rule. El selector es lo primero y que describe el elemento en la página que va a ser de control a través de esta norma.

In the image below you will see the selector which will control all the h1 in the current document. En la imagen de abajo podrás ver el selector de que el control de todos los H1 en el documento actual.

Next to the selector you will see the declaration . Junto a la selección podrás ver la declaración. The declaration are contain in between these curly brackets { } which tells the browsers that all properties inside { } should be apply to the element identify as the selector (in this example h1 selector) La declaración se contienen entre estas llaves () que le dice al navegador que todas las propiedades dentro de () se aplican al elemento de identificación ya que el selector (en este ejemplo h1 selector)

Inside the declaration we have the property and values . Dentro de la declaración que tienen la propiedad y los valores. Notice they are separated by : and ends with ; this tell the browsers to move to the next property if there are any available. Cuenta de que están separados por: y termina con, lo que dicen los navegadores para pasar a la siguiente propiedad si hay alguna disponible.

In this example, our rule will take all the h1 and make them all Arial with the font size at 1.4em and the color will be white. En este ejemplo, nuestro gobierno tomará todas las H1 y hacer que todos los Arial con el tamaño de fuente en 1.4em y el color será blanco.

You can use Dreamweaver to do this for you, or if you want and you have memorialize all the selector and declaration you can always hand code them.
