I brought my Western Digital external hard drive with 1TB or 1000 GB of space two years ago. This is an older model compare to what currently on the market. I have the USB 2 with no Fire wire.

My primary use of this external hard drive is to backup my working files. The worst thing you ever want to do is not have backup copy of your files in case some unexpected memory lost happen. Last time I didn’t have my files backup and my computer got hit by a power surge with no power surge protector. My motherboard along with my hard drives died because of the power surge.

On that day I last all of my files, there were no backup. It was a nightmare to say the least.

Now I am currently using 4 different hard drives, the main hard drive, another 1TB backup hard drive, with a second 1TB backup hard drive and the Western Digital external 1TB hard drive. So far, I have no problem with my external Western Digital hard drive. I even took it along with me on my 2 months vacation while I was over sea.

I would recommend it to anyone and always make sure you backup your files because you never know what will happen.
