Mexican Restaurant (Salsa Kitchen) in Chiang Mai

Salsa Kitchen - Mexican Restaurant

This is an amazing Mexican Restaurant just minutes’ walk from my apartment. The reason I first went to eat here was because it was too hot to walk to the mall to eat at my usual food court. Also, I don’t eat a lot of Mexican food. Where I grew up, there aren’t many Mexican restaurants around and I prefer to eat at Chinese, Thai, and Asian restaurants.

After I had my first meal here, I finally realized why this restaurant was always busy. The food here was very good. I was quite surprised to taste this type of quality of Mexican food here in Chiang Mai, Thailand. The portion was generous and very satisfying.

I can easily say this will not be my last time eating there. The following day I came back, then the next day, and the day after that. Until I realized I am on a budget and can’t go eat there every single day.

I always ate here during the daytime, around noon or right after they open when there weren’t many customers. I only ate once during the evening and I found that the quality was not as great during the daytime. I think it was because there are a lot more customers around during the evenings and they only have a small number of staff to serve and prepare the food, but I could be wrong.

Sometimes there are so many people that you have to wait outside. It can be a bit crazy especially during the high season.

If you can, try to make it during the daytime. The restaurant gets busy in the evening and when there are 50 customers waiting for their meal, you might have to rush things.

Out of all the places in the world, the best Mexican food I ever ate was at this Mexican Restaurant in Thailand. I just hope they keep the price the same when I go back.
