Usually between 1-5 years in a fixed rate contract for natural gas and/or electricity.

If you don't have a copy of your Direct Energy contract. Contact the company and ask about it.

If you pass your expiry date and you are still with Direct Energy without any notice. Tell Direct Energy to cancel your account and they will have it cancel without any fee.
