My gas bills are triple what my neighbors bills are, i have called just energy to get some answers and request a copy of my contract but it has been impossible to get a response form the 1 866 number. What can I do? Union gas tells me that I’ve been paying just energy since 2005! I am very upset and want out! help. please

You should ask for a copy of your contract and as well as a copy of the reaffirmation call. Just Energy require to have both or there is no contract. It is faster to get those copies through your email (about 5-10 business days). It’s your right, they must send you those documents when you request.

Try to remember how you were switched. Did someone came to your door? What did the person at your door said? Did the homeowner sign and reaffirmed the deal over the phone?
I live alone in the very small townhouse, just bought new furnace with 98% efficiency last year, keep temperature on 18C, so many times I am absolutely freezing, pay monthly estimated $160.00 and in february I was hit with$1000.00 underpayment on my gas bill.I am senior citizen with very low pension, so how am I going to pay that?I discovered, that Just energy renewed my so called contract (without my knowledge) and I have been paying three times as much as my neighbours for gas. What kind of crooks are these people? And how our goverment regulates these practics?
Shame on them!!!!!!!!!!Taking advantage on low income people and seniors!
Did you tell them you are an senior citizen? They may cancel your contract without any fee for seniors.
One more thing, you said they renewed your contract without your knowledge. I thought they require to send you a renewal package, but from what I'm hearing from many people is that they do not receive any renewal package.
