One of the issues that offend many foreign tourists and long-term foreign expats in Thailand may be coming to an end.
The new Tourism and Sports Minister of Thailand while speaking to Thai reporters, pointed out what he wanted to be done to boost tourism in Thailand.
According to the Tourism and Sports Minister, there should be no difference in prices for Thais and foreigners at ancient sites like Ayuthaya and the ruins of Sukhothai.
This is also the case with medical tourism since when a sick person comes to the country, their friends and relatives will join them and will stay at hotels and visit tourist attractions and restaurants.
According to him, there is a need to draw tourists away from places that are over-crowded during the high season and attract them to other areas that are not so popular.
For instance, tourists in Chiang Mai needs to be attracted to other sites like Chiang Rai, Lampang, and Phayao.
It is also important to consider the environment to limit pollution and keep the nation’s natural beauty intact. The Tourism and Sports Minister’s target is to reduce plastic use by half.
It is also essential for the nation to improve and enhance online applications to not be left out of advances in technology as it concerns tourism.
