If you’re into barbecuing meat on charcoal, you should try this BBQ vendor at the entrance of the Kad Suan Kaew shopping mall. They only open on Thursday to Saturday evenings from 6pm to 11pm.
This is an Isaan (Northeastern region of Thailand) style BBQ, marinated with different herbs and spices. My personal favourite items here are the BBQ ribs, pork and the chicken wings. They also sell BBQ fish and BBQ intestines. I’m not too crazy about the fish and intestines but if you want, you can try them out.
The BBQ ribs, pork and chicken pack a lot of flavor and can be a bit salty than what you find back home, but that’s why Thais eat them with sticky rice to balance the salty flavor. If you don’t want to, you don’t have to eat it with any sticky rice. It’s up to you.
It comes with some veggies and a dipping sauce. The sauce has a salty and spicy flavor into it.
