Starting December 10th, Thailand will no longer allow imported second-hand cars for personal use.
According to the report, the Thai Commerce Ministry set the new rule to ban second-hand cars to prevent fraud, pollution and corruption.
After December the 10th used imported cars will be prohibited goods.
“The ministry estimates at least 1,000 second-hand cars are smuggled or imported as parts to be reassembled in the country each year. Besides, the vehicles usually involve criminal activities such as drugs and money-laundering.”
