Whenever I have an idea for a domain name, my first instinct is to go on a website like Chaque fois que j'ai une idée pour un nom de domaine, mon premier réflexe est d'aller sur un site comme namecheap.com namecheap.com and check if that domain name I have in mind is taken or not. et vérifier si ce nom de domaine que j'ai en tête est prise ou non.

Now I understand if a domain name is still available for anyone to register it can be stolen before you have a chance to register yourself. The domain name I had in mind was epicwebhost.com, I like it because it was short, easy to remember and catchy. I went to namecheap.com to type in the domain name and notice that it was still available, but I did not register it that day because I want to think about it. About two days later, I decided to go register the domain name epicwebhost.com and guess what? I thought I must had made some mistake 2 days before when I was searching for the domain name epicwebhost.com and somehow I mistaken it to be available. Then I open up my browser to look at epicwebhost.com and look up the whois information on the domain name. I found that the domain name was register on January 29 2010, the day I was searching that domain name and it was available on January 28 2010. Someone knew about my domain name and registered it the next day after I search on namecheap.com; this cannot be some kind of coincidence. I have an account; I keep all my domain names at namecheap.com and find that their website is secure.
